Three Names

Not to be forgotten

Another September 11th, 21 years and 1,748 miles away. But it’s the same. The air mild and still, the sky just as cloudless. The outrage and grief still palpable.

Went shopping for gear at Cabela’s in Thornton, north of Denver. The massed flags around the store’s perimeter said it all, beautifully.

One of them for a friend and neighbor, one for a fellow commuter, one for the brother of a friend.
